Timbertop Halls of Residence

Timbertop is located in an isolated environment adjacent to the Alpine National Park which forms part of the Great Dividing Range.

Sited amongst existing trees on a gentle riverside slope this building sensitively responds to the environmental conditions. It is designed to obtain natural sunlight, thermal mass, cross flow ventilation and shade in summer.

The new halls of residence is composed of east and west sleeping wings with a communal kitchen / dining and living space situated in between. There is also an additional two room sleeping pod for guests. Each of the zones are linked by covered all-weather walkways.
