KTA and BKK Architects, together with landscape architect practice Aspect Studios were selected for the redevelopment of Whitehorse cultural and performing arts centre. The new facility will deliver on Council’s arts and cultural vision ‘to be a creative community that is vibrant, diverse and engaged through our arts, culture and heritage’.
The highly accessible, flexible and contemporary centre will comprise of: - 600-seat auditorium - 200-seat studio theatre - multipurpose rehearsal/dance studio - multipurpose function room - improved soundshell capability for community festival season - multi-deck car park
The redevelopment will improve existing facilities and amenity, and include access and infrastructure of the precinct including links to neighbouring Nunawading Police Station, Nunawading Library, Whitehorse Civic Centre and Walker Park sports precinct.
