Our client – an IT start up company – described their brief as ‘hi-tech/homey’. Our innovative use of relatively cheap materials such as ply panels, translucent alsynite sheet and strong colour created a series of spaces that consolidated the identity and workplace structure of the company. We undertook extensive analysis of staff relationships and the corporate structure to develop Masterplan options that formed the basis of the final layout and design.
The project was achieved within a very limited time frame and budget. The building procurement process was expedited by our nomination of a builder who we worked with from the early stages of design.
Kerstin Thompson Architects were engaged as a primary consultant. Our role involved co-ordination and liaison of a team of consultants including Quantity Surveyor, Services Engineers and Building Surveyor.
